In a world where homes and personal spaces have become extensions of one’s identity, D’aromas is redefining the way people experience fragrance. What began as a simple dream to infuse everyday life with positivity through meaningful aromas has grown into a distinctive brand built on passion, innovation, and authentic connections. In an exclusive interaction with News Outlook, Dharmisha Gokani, Director of D’aromas, shares her entrepreneurial journey, the power of networking, and why embracing challenges with resilience has been key to the brand’s success.

1. How did you start D’aromas? What challenges did you face in the early days?

Ans. D’aromas began with a very simple idea, to bring fragrance and positivity into people’s lives. We wanted every home and every space to have its own unique identity that could be reflected through its aroma. The biggest challenge in the early days was reaching people and helping them understand that fragrance is not just a scent but an experience. Limited resources, a small team, and market uncertainty made the beginning difficult.

2. How did you overcome these challenges? What strategies did you adopt?

Ans. We treated challenges as opportunities. First, we focused entirely on improving the quality of our products. Second, we leveraged digital platforms to bring the brand closer to people. Through social media, we built direct communication with customers and made several improvements based on their feedback. Step by step, we built strong trust and credibility.

3. How much has networking and collaboration contributed to your success?

Ans. Networking played a crucial role in our journey. Connecting with the right people, learning from their experiences, and creating opportunities together became the foundation of D’aromas’ growth. Many of our successful collaborations began with a simple conversation that later helped strengthen both the brand’s reach and identity.

4. How would you explain the importance of networking to young people? Can you share an example?

Ans. I would tell young people that networking is not just about making connections but about building relationships. It is an investment that strengthens your identity over time. For example, D’aromas’ first major retail collaboration happened through a person we met at an industry event. A genuine conversation and honest connection can open the door to future opportunities.

5. What did you learn from failures on your path to success, and what message would you like to give to young people?

Ans. Failures are the greatest teachers. Every setback taught us that perseverance and consistency are the true keys to success. Sometimes things do not go as planned, but giving up is never the solution. My message to young people is, keep your vision clear, work with sincerity and dedication, and try to learn from every experience. Success may take time, but when it comes, it is lasting.
