A Celebration of India’s Iconic Regional Flavours in Jaipur
As twilight settled over Jaipur, the Pink City played host to an evening where food became both memory and discovery. CURRYiT unveiled the second chapter of its experiential series, FullPlate with CURRYiT: The Real Indian Foodie Challenge, at the charming Gayatri’s Abode @ Villa 92. Building on the success of its maiden edition, this chapter went deeper, celebrating not just convenience, but the vast, nuanced diversity of Indian regional flavours. The guest list was intimate yet eclectic. Fifteen passionate food lovers from high-income professionals and on-ground stars to food and lifestyle creators and seasoned culinary enthusiasts came together under one roof. While their journeys were different, their bond was immediate: a shared, almost emotional love for Indian food. Many admitted they had been sceptical of packaged curry pastes, shaped by past experiences that fell short of authenticity. This evening, however, invited them to approach the category with fresh curiosity.
A Warm Welcome & A Fiery Beginning
The evening opened around a glowing bonfire, setting the tone for warmth, conversation, and spice. The Real Indian Foodie Trivia Challenge broke the ice instantly, igniting friendly debates about regional dishes, forgotten ingredients, and culinary traditions passed down through generations. Laughter mingled with nostalgia as guests exchanged stories of home kitchens and ancestral recipes. Between rounds, fusion bites prepared using CURRYiT’s curry pastes made their way around. Each tasting sparked surprise notes of familiarity, balance, and depth prompting conversations about how unexpectedly “real” the flavours felt. The food became the bridge, effortlessly turning scepticism into intrigue.
A Founder’s Moment
As the night unfolded, CURRYiT founders Richa Sharma and Nischal Kandula took centre stage, sharing a candid narrative of the brand’s journey. They spoke of the gap they saw in modern Indian kitchens—where time was scarce, but the desire for authentic flavours remained strong. CURRYiT, they explained, was born from the belief that new-age India deserves cooking solutions that don’t compromise on soul.
They walked guests through the philosophy behind each paste, rooted in specific regions and states of India capturing the fire of the South, the richness of the West, and the bold, rustic depth of the North. Their commitment to preservative-free products made with fresh ingredients resonated deeply, reinforcing the promise that these were flavours people had grown up with, thoughtfully recreated.
A Grand, Masaaledar Finale
The night culminated in cheers as winners of the Trivia Challenge were announced and rewarded, adding a playful flourish to the experience. Yet, even as the formalities wrapped up, conversations lingered about favourite dishes, flavour notes, and plans to recreate meals at home.
Guests left on a truly masaaledar high, many eager to explore CURRYiT’s range themselves, especially after discovering its easy availability on quick commerce platforms in Jaipur.
With storytelling, sensory discovery, and an unwavering commitment to authenticity, Chapter Two of FullPlate with CURRYiT proved to be more than an event—it was a celebration of India’s culinary soul, and a promising prelude to many more flavourful chapters across the country.
