Sana Afreen: Rising the corporate ladder and breaking stereotypes

To quote Robert Fritz, “Dreamers only dream, but creators bring their dreams into reality.” This is ideology that Sana Afreen, the CCO and Ass. Director at Rizzle has strived upon. With degrees in engineering, business administration and law, she has sought to make organizations successful by translating her knowledge of business practices and experiences into pragmatic solutions with lasting impact. With multiple skills under her belt, such as content marketing, product management, social media strategy, legal liaising and many more, she has been a consultant to start ups since 2016. Before joining Rizzle, she had previously worked with GrabOn and helped the brand launch new products along with boosting their growth in this vast and ever-changing market. She has also won many awards in the past for her stellar marketing campaigns.

Going back to her beliefs, she holds in high regard that everyone needs to be creator. She believes that only when one experiences a creator’s life, only then can they understand their gaps, their dilemmas and how trends catch on. She thinks it’s all about the tenacity and grit of it all and the ability to weather all the storms. It builds team spirit, and the ability to grow with the feedback one has received. And of course, finding success on social media always has and always will require a little bit of luck.

Since the TikTok ban in India, and the cloud surrounding the platform in the US, it has created an eerie uncertainty for creators. But due to the ban, multiple new content creating apps emerged leaving breathing space for creators in this country. These new platforms provide the creators with an opportunity to revive their content creation along with giving the apps a shot at popularity in the rapidly growing short videos market. Sana, using her key strengths and skillset, has used this to her advantage by helping creators put out desirable content. It’s no secret that women are less likely to self-promote compared to men. Sana wants to change this.  She hopes that more and more women come on to this grand stage of content creating and thrive in the ray of their own stardom.

Shedding more light on Sana’s skillset, she has a no can-do attitude. She believes her story isn’t much different compared to many other female leaders. Apart from this, she is a team player. People coming together and cooperating is the biggest asset to any organization. An empath, her high emotional quotient makes her a very desirable teammate and colleague.

Sana didn’t have it easy to get to the level of intellect that she is at right now. She was faced with many stumbling blocks which she has since learnt to navigate with caution. She was faced with stereotypical societal binds and family orthodoxy, but that didn’t distract her from what she was truly meant to achieve. It has been a relentless journey of learning and improving for her, and she believes the job she has right now gives her the opportunity to learn and be creative. She would be a valuable asset to any organization that she joins and bring to the table all the set of skills one requires. Her ultimate aim and vision is to keep people hooked to their screens and always stay entertained she strives to make organizations successful by using her advanced skillset and her knowledge of business practices.
